.o TLD

The .o TLD is a top-level domain (TLD) that is part of the OpenNIC project, which provides an alternative to traditional DNS services. The .o TLD is operated by emreoyun.tr in Türkiye. This TLD can be used for commercial and non-commercial purposes and entities on the OpenNIC network.

Registration Rules

To ensure a safe and secure environment for all users, we have established the following rules:

• You need to have an account on this website. It can be used to manage your domain registrations and contact with operators.
• Domains are available for registration on a first-come, first-served basis.
• Domains can only be registered for a period of one year. While the domain has less than 30 days remaining, you can renew the domain on the domain management page.
• Some domains are unavailable for registration due to legal or policy reasons. These domains are mostly consists of reserved or protected names and existing TLDs.
• Domain names can contain letters (a-z), numbers (0-9), and hyphens (-) and cannot start or end with a hyphen.
• Domain names must be between 4 and 63 characters. If you need a domain with a different length, please contact the operators.
• Domain names must be approved by the operators before activation.
• Domain registration is free of charge.
• You must have at least one working nameserver configured before registering a domain.

Abuse Rules

Any misuse of the .o TLD or violation of the Acceptable Use Policy will result in immediate action, including but not limited to domain deletion and account suspension. Some examples of abusive behavior include, but are not limited to:

• Domain squatting
• Using domains for spam or phishing activities
• Engaging in trademark infringement or other intellectual property violations
• Hosting illegal content or engaging in illegal activities using the domain
• Using the domain for malicious activities such as DDoS attacks or distributing malware
• Trademark infringement or cybersquatting: Registering domain names that are identical or confusingly similar to existing trademarks or well-known brands with the intent to profit from their reputation
• The domain servers are hosted on Türkiye. Any activities that violates the Turkish Law on Regulation of Publications on the Internet and Combating Crimes Committed by Means of Such Publication or any Turkish Laws (For example: gambling, adult content, etc.)

Domains that are found to be in violation of these rules will be subject to suspension or deletion without prior notice. Users are encouraged to report any suspected abuse to the operators for prompt action.

The community can also vote for a domain to be suspended or deleted that abuses or violates the rules. This vote only can be casted on OpenNIC's official contact ways.

If operators found a website that violates the Turkish Laws, the registrar be also reported to Turkish authorities upon discovery, reports, or official requests.

Reports and Disputes

If you believe a domain is violating the registration rules or engaging in abusive behavior, please report it to the operators. We take all reports seriously and will investigate them promptly to:

• Abuse Reports (ICANN Ecosystem Mail)

By registering a domain under the .o TLD, you agree to abide by these rules and understand that failure to comply may result in the loss of your domain and/or account. If you have any questions about these rules, please contact the operators for clarification.
